If you do not have a Bell, (in Ontario & Quebec) Aliant ( in Atlantic provinces), or Telus (in Alberta, British Columbia) you can get your DSL service over what is called a Dry Loop (a local line with no voice service on it). There is a one time $20 setup charge and a minimal monthly cost called a Dry Loop charge.
